CHANNEL 4 ANNOUNCES NEW CHIEF EXECUTIVE, ALEX MAHON.

Alex Mahon is the first woman to take up the post of Cheif Executive at Channel 4.

“Channel 4’s unique remit to innovate and to appeal to young and diverse audiences make it an essential part of British culture,” said new Channel 4 boss Alex Mahon. “There is nowhere in the world like Channel 4 and, in these changing times, its mission is more important than ever. I’m incredibly proud to be joining Channel 4 and bring to it experience both of leading creative organisations at scale and dealing with an environment of constant technological change.”

Alex Mahon joins Channel 4 from VFX software maker the Foundry, previous to this role she was involved with the Shine Group, growing and creating the joint venture between Core Media and Apollo Global Management. To find out more about the new appointment and the future of Channel 4 click here.
